Blogging is Norak
January 11th, 2006 | TechnologyI’m not sure if that’s 100% true. But I think blogs are great becuase you open yourself up to a much wider audience. And if you’re writing good content then you have potential readers for much more click through traffic.
The ability to be able to publish fast and distribute is what makes them take the lead when it comes to content online. They allow your visitors to communicate with you, making creating communites and loyal readership even easier.
Doing a post on a topic (keyword) gets picked up faster that it would if you did a new article on your site and uploaded it. I’ve seen them get picked up anywhere from 24 hours to 3 days Bearing in mind though that your site is being added to on a daily basis.
Blogs are great for all the above reasons. If you want to begin a blog state your priorities first. Some people run standalone blogs where they put in thier thoughts and ideas. Some others use it as a part of thier websites to make important announcements about thier sites.
If you’re a newbie and have just created a site, than be sure that starting a blog and introducing your site’s links is a really fast way to get your site indexed. Another way a blog helps is that it gives you some faithful subscribers through your site’s RSS feed, which comes automatically through a blog.
Just my $.02.

It’s also self-branding, for some people ;)

I passed through this post the moment I saw the post title listed on your previous posts section. You can say that I had a little chuckle out of it.
And I agree with Andry. It is a form of self-branding. Blogs make you into a pseudo-celebrity, at least, when promoting is successful.

Sekedar info..
