Welcome
Hello!
Welcome to the digital home of Nofie Iman — a civil technocrat, educator, writer, and quiet reformer working at the intersection of ideas, institutions, and impact.
I believe in the quiet power of systems that work, ideas that live longer than headlines, and leadership that listens before it speaks. I believe the future of Indonesia depends not only on who speaks the loudest, but on who builds with integrity, clarity, and long-term care. I am committed to that future — a future shaped by thoughtful policy, digital transformation that centers people, and clean governance that empowers rather than controls.
Who I Am
I trained as a scholar of management and innovation — with a PhD from the London School of Economics and an MSc from the University of Manchester. My research and writing focus on technological innovation, digital governance, and strategic transformation. But I’ve never believed that ideas belong only to journals or classrooms.
Since returning to Indonesia, I’ve worked as a lecturer at Universitas Gadjah Mada, a consultant to ministries as well as state-owned and private enterprises, and previously serve as an expert staff to the Minister of Transportation, focusing on digital transformation and sustainability.
I write regularly for newspapers and journals, teach at all levels—from undergraduate to doctoral studies, and from researchers to practitioners—and engage quietly in reform projects, believing that the most lasting change often begins without applause.
